A rural mid-century modern remodel for indoor outdoor living

Set in the idyllic rural neighborhood of Scenic Knolls in South Fort Collins, this home underwent a transformative mid-century modern remodel to reflect a more modern aesthetic and suit the lifestyle of a young family of five. A major architectural change involved removing and raising the roofline in the central part of the home, creating a dramatic vaulted ceiling in the kitchen where there were once modest 8-foot ceilings. With a focus on seamless indoor-outdoor living to embrace the natural beauty of the surroundings, we introduced a large accordion window in the kitchen and incorporated sliding glass doors and expansive windows throughout the home, ensuring every room connects gracefully with the scenic outdoors.
